Back in the cool little notch pass (old stock trail), heading down.

Another view of scrambling down the pass. Note the spire in the distance.

Don't blindly follow the old stock trail all the way down to the valley below. Look for the shelf exit on the left (north).

The view east after the trail descends the sandy slope away from the mountain.

Now it's time to pay the piper and traverse the irritating gullies again.

Beautiful desert scenery makes even the annoying sections of this hike interesting.

Returning to the wonderful Eagle Crags formations! Once back on the maintained trail, the hiking gets a lot easier again.
