The tedious trail hugs the eastern slopes of the Vermillion Cliffs and traverses 16 gullies like this. BUY PHOTO |
This spire formation is a good landmark. When you are only one gully away from the spire, the trail will turn right (west) to head straight up the slopes towards the base of Lower Mountain. BUY PHOTO |
