The Watchman Trail moderate 1-2 hours Zion Canyon (Visitor Center) Family-friendly hike with an uphill push to a nice viewpoint under the Watchman.
Lower Emerald Pools easy .5-1.5 hours Zion Canyon (Zion Lodge) A short accessible paved trail that leads to the base of the Lower Emerald Pools waterfalls. The trail beyond is not wheelchair accessible.
Middle and Upper Emerald Pools moderate 2-4 hours Zion Canyon (Zion Lodge) Continuing from Lower Emerald Pools, the trail becomes a bit more strenuous as it ascends a cliffband and leads to the oasis of Upper Emerald Pools.
Angels Landing strenuous 3-6 hours Zion Canyon (The Grotto) The legendary hike up the West Rim Trail and Walter's Wiggles to Scout Lookout and the exposed spur trail to Angels Landing.
West Rim Trail (Bottom-Up Day Hike) moderate, strenuous 5-12 hours Zion Canyon (The Grotto) Hiking up from the Grotto beyond Scout Lookout and Angels Landing offers incredible views. Making it all the way up to the rim and back is long and strenuous, but you can turn around whenever you like.
Weeping Rock easy 10-30 minutes Zion Canyon (Weeping Rock) A short 10-minute stroll on a paved path to the famous weeping alcove. This trail is almost wheelchair accessible but stairs block access to the viewing platform.
Riverside Walk easy 1-2 hours Zion Canyon (Temple of Sinawava) A classic family-friendly scenic walk to the Zion Narrows with several spots that provide access to the river. The paved trail is wheelchair accessible.
Zion Narrows Day Hike (Bottom-Up) moderate, strenuous 2-10 hours Zion Canyon (Temple of Sinawava) Zion's famous slot canyon river hike can be as easy or as hard as you want it to be, but allow at least 6 hours to get to the heart of the best narrows sections.
Canyon Overlook Trail easy .5-1 hour Upper East Canyon Short family-friendly hike to an iconic viewpoint. Warning: The trail has some exposure and parking can often be problematic.
East Mesa Trail to Observation Point moderate 2-4 hours East Mesa Trailhead With the trail up from Weeping Rock closed indefinitely due to rock fall, the East Mesa Trail is a mostly level and moderately strenuous hike to the famous viewpoint.
Many Pools moderate 1-4 hours Upper East Canyon A fairly easy off-trail hike up an interesting open wash in the Upper East Canyon, featuring several pools and potholes.
West Rim Trail (Top-Down Hike) strenuous 9-12 hours Kolob Terrace (Lava Point or West Rim Trailhead) Beautiful 15-mile trek from the high country into Zion Canyon, done as a long-day hike or leisurely two-day backpack.
Northgate Peaks Trail moderate 2-4 hours Kolob Terrace (Wildcat TH) A mostly level 4-mile hike through the forested upper plateau to a viewing area of many interesting peaks of the Kolob Terrace area.
The Subway from the Bottom (Non-Technical Hike) strenuous 5-9 hours Kolob Terrace (Left Fork TH) A long non-technical hike up the rugged Left Fork of North Creek to see the famous lower Subway formations.
Timber Creek Overlook Trail easy .5-1 hour Kolob Canyons A short family-friendly hike from the end of the Kolob Canyons Road to a pleasant viewpoint facing the Kolob Finger Canyons.
Taylor Creek Trail (Middle Fork of Taylor Creek) moderate 3-5 hours Kolob Canyons (Taylor Creek TH) A pleasant hike up one of the Kolob finger canyons past two historical cabins to reach the famous Double Arch Alcove.
South Fork of Taylor Creek easy, moderate 2-4 hours Kolob Canyons (Taylor Creek South TH) Though not an official trail, a well-defined trail-of-use leads the way up this pleasant finger canyon. Several short sport climbs have been established on the Namaste Wall near the end of the hike.
La Verkin Creek Trail (to Kolob Arch) strenuous 7-10 hours Kolob Canyons (Lee Pass TH) A long trail that goes around the Kolob Finger Canyons to a viewing area under the Kolob Arch. Numerous campsites are available for backpackers and the trail continues several more miles for those looking to get remote.
Kanarra Falls (Kanarra Creek) moderate 3-5 hours Kanarraville (north of Kolob Canyons) A moderately strenuous hike up to a small slot canyon and its famous waterfall and ladder. (Located outside of Zion NP.)
Grafton (Ghost Town) easy 15-60 minutes Grafton Road (south of Rockville) A leisurely stroll around several old pioneer buildings that have been preserved and opened to the public. Nearby is a historic pioneer cemetery. (Located outside Zion NP.)
Water Canyon and Canaan Mountain strenuous, very strenuous 4-12 hours Water Canyon TH (behind Hildale) A hike up the scenic Water Canyon Trail that continues somewhat off-trail to the top of Canaan Mountain. Hiking to Sawmill Spring and back is very strenuous. (Located outside of Zion NP.)
