Looking back at the shelf that we just hiked along.

Time to go up the notch pass! As difficult as this photo may make it look, this is actually quite a reasonable Class 2-3 scramble.

Looking back down the notch pass. Amazingly, this was once an old stock trail.

At the top of the notch pass, a convenient platform takes us out. The hard part is over!

The beautiful views from the top of Lower Mountain make all of the hard work seem worth it.

Nonstop gorgeous views at the edge of the cliffs along the isolated plateau!

Continuing south, descending some slickrock shelves to the beautiful valley in between the peaks of Lower Mountain. There is plenty of opportunity for random exploration!
