The remote and elusive Wildcat Canyon on a beautiful rainy day.

Before heading out, I explored down to the headwaters of the Left Fork to see a lovely slot section flowing from spring melt.

Now it's time to pay the piper. The hike up out of Wildcat Canyon is a bit of a slog.

The upper mile of Wildcat is overgrown and you will be fighting logs and bushes; I won't pretend that this part is fun.

To avoid the last quarter mile of bushwhacking, you can scramble up the lava flow.

Looking back down into Wildcat Canyon from the Wildcat Canyon Trail during a beautiful rainstorm. Time to hike the trail back to the Wildcat Trailhead!
