Looking up at the fairly nondescript South Ariel Peak from Route 9. It's a short and straightforward scramble, but things gets a bit sketchy at the top.  |
After climbing a few hundred feet, the view starts to get interesting.  |

An old stump at the top of the intimidating Class 4 scramble. When coming back down, a short rappel off the stump may be better than downclimbing.  |
Once on the summit ridge, a bit more exposed scrambling takes you to the highpoint.  |
