At the junction with the Sawmill Trail, we turn left and head uphill towards Canaan Mountain.

The lonely beauty of the Canaan Mountain Wilderness.

With Water Canyon visible in the distance, the Water Canyon Arch Trail heads south up into the hills.

Interesting formations can be found everywhere.

Lovely clouds above the sandstone.

After ascending roughly 400 feet along the arch trail, the scenery starts to get more interesting...
