MOUNTAIN OF THE SUN

A lovely early morning stroll up and out of Upper Pine Creek.

Looking northwest to the saddle between Upper Pine Creek and Spry Canyon... "Gentlemen, we need to be up there!"

Following the ramp under the sheer vertical wall up to the saddle.

Faded old petroglyphs can be spotted in the wall.

White phlox make a living under the wall.

Coming down the other side of the saddle, looking for the easiest way down.

Now heading north to the saddle between Spry Canyon and Lodge Canyon. The sheer wall of the Twin Brothers is on the left.

Arriving at the saddle at the top of the intimidating Lodge Canyon.
