Hiking along the pleasant scenery of the East Rim Trail.

During summer, the Deertrap Mountain Trail is overgrown and often sprinkled with wildflowers.

Wandering up and down the hills with the main canyon in the far distance.

I smell a teaser viewpoint coming up soon!

Bam! A great view south looking down Upper Pine Creek into the slickrock wonderland of the East Canyon.

And we arrive at the western edge of Deertrap Mountain to look out at a sea of colorful slickrock formations...
