THE BARRACKS (East Fork of the Virgin River)

| Just south of Mt. Carmel Junction, the first few miles of the Barracks hike follow a dirt road through a private ranch inset of land. Please be respectful and tread lightly to ensure future access for others. |
| Once in BLM land, the old jeep road hugs the muddy river and crosses from bank to bank numerous times. |

| Once the jeep trail leaves the river, the walls narrow and we are now hiking mostly in the river. |
