Soon enough we reach the bare granite of Lembert Dome.  |

| Mammoth Peak and Lyell Canyon can be seen to the southeast. |

| A short section of cautious scrambling gets us to the summit. |
 |
| Continuing down the other side to the front face of Lembert Dome... |
 |
| From the tip of Lembert Dome we get fantastic views of Tuolumne Meadows and the surrounding peaks. |
 |
| And the view to the northeast... |
 |
| And we complete this loop by hiking through Tuolumne Meadows back to the Lembert Dome parking lot. (Yes, that's actually the trail hidden in the tall grass.) |
