BEECH MOUNTAIN via WEST RIDGE TRAIL

The West Ridge Trail starts on the southern shore of Long Pond and hugs the east side of the pond.

The West Ridge Trail leaves Long Pond and heads northeast up Beech Mountain.

The trail soon offers up great views of Long Pond and the Atlantic Ocean far in the distance.

Looking due west at Mansell Mountain on the other side of Long Pond...

Soon enough we reach the Beech Mountain fire tower near the summit.

The top of the fire tower is typically closed, but you can enjoy great views from the first platform.
