After hiking up through the open and overgrown lower section of Shelf Canyon,
the wash narrows up and becomes more interesting.
The glowing sandstone walls beckon us further up the canyon.
Several fun little boulders to scramble over to get to the end.
Here's why they call it "Shelf" Canyon: dozens of little ledges working their way up the west wall.
As fun as it looks, be careful scrambling around here; it's a lot scarier coming back down.
Peering up to the sky looking for a way to climb out.
And just as things were getting interesting, we realize that this cool little canyon has come to an end.
Attack of the clones! What the heck are these silly tourists trying to do?
