The Watchman Trail starts heading to the hills. We will loop around to make our way
to the top of the cliff layer in the distant foreground.
Along the trail, we get a great view of the sandstone layers. Yum, it looks like a pastrami sandwich to me!
A full quiver of cacti enjoy the hot sunny day!
The trail starts heading back out to the viewpoint.
Our pleasant view from the end of the trail. Not as stunning as other viewpoints in Zion, but we can spy
on all of the people and cars surrounding the Visitor Center!
Following the little loop trail, we get a direct view of the majestic Watchman Peak in the distance.
When it's blisteringly hot out, the waters of the Virgin River are irresistible!
