Time for a fun visit to the horse and mule corral across from the Zion Lodge!
Buttercup the Mule makes his way over the hikers' bridge near the Court of the Patriarchs.
The Sand Bench Trail makes its way into the Court of the Patriarchs; the views are excellent!
Heading south on the loop. Many fallen boulders are sprinkled throughout the area.
One of the outstanding viewpoints near the southern tip of the loop. Who knew that we were this high up above the road?
The most impressive section of the trail is the western loop. Here we can clearly see
that we are standing on a massive ancient landslide.
Back down by the beautiful banks of the Virgin River...
Buttercup says: "Gee whiz, Pacer! Those lazy tourists sure have me tired!"
