Looking at the Weeping Rock amphitheatre as the Observation Point Trail makes its way up the canyon.
After the slog up and out of the main canyon, it's time for a pleasant early morning stroll through Echo Canyon.
Beautiful lighting in the walls above...
A glowing sandstone crack under the trail. (Don't worry! You don't have to hike
through this; the trail is just above.)
A dark section of the CCC-era trail was chiselled right out of the slot canyon walls.
(Blasting such a trail would be sacrilege by today's standards.)
The trail wonders through the wonderously deep Echo Canyon complex.
