Hiking up the lower valley of Kanarra Creek; looks like things are about to get interesting...
After a short section of hiking up the stream, the creek slots up
and it's like we're in a mini version of the Zion Narrows.
In this beautiful canyon, indirect sunlight helps makes the walls glow red.
"Kanarra Creek Ladders" -- one of my favorite shots. These are how the ladders looked in the Fall of 2004.
Same spot, Fall 2006 -- a different ladder configuration. Without these aids,
it would take a few climbing tricks to make it further up canyon.
More logs and old rope help us past the second obstacle.
