The General Waiting Room -- a Roman bathhouse-inspired cathedral
that epitomizes the grandeur and decay of the station.
Early morning rays break into the great room.
Pillars guard the bombed-out remains of the ticket windows.
When pillars and arches are made out of paper mâché, they tend to fall apart easily over the years.

The tilework is slowly falling off of the arches revealing the terra cotta underneath.
