Hiking the legendary Kalalau Trail which along the rugged Na Pali Coast. Lots of mud, slippery rocks, clumsy ups
and downs, poorly maintained eroded sections close to exposed ledges, and a lot of great scenery.
The trail wanders up and down and in and out of each valley along the coast.
Looking up towards the green-covered mountains.
Anybody have a hose? The mud appears to be everywhere!
Meeshee pulls out the food and suddenly we have many new best friends! Attack of the scrawny little wild kitty-kats!
"Hey mister, don't hold out on us, we want your beef jerky! Your nutri-grain bars just aren't doing it for us!"
"Do you realize that this entire beach is my litter box and you're sitting in it?"
Hanakapi'ai Beach as the rain clouds roll in. Temporarily disable your popup blocker
and view the panorama!
Posing in the downpour. The trail turns into a mud river which amazingly made the hiking less slippery!
(Note: Weird orange thing is our emergency poncho.)
